WHAT IS RITALIN?

  • IT'S A LEGAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG USED TO TREAT ADD, ADHD, AND A SLEEP DISORDER CALLED NARCOLEPSY.
  • THE MEDICAL TERM FOR RITALIAN IS METHYLPHENIDATE.
  • THE DRUG COMES IN TABLETS, BUT ABUSERS GRIND THEM SO THEY CAN SHORT IT.

STREET NAMES OF THE DRUG RITALIN

  • Diet coke, Smarties, R-Ball, Stattees,
  • Rids, and Mans Cocaine.

SHORT-TERM EFFECTS

  • Nausea, Erratic, or sometimes violent behavior
  • Hallucination, hyper-excitability or irritability
  • Panic & psychosis or loss of appetite

LONG-TERM EFFECTS

  • Damage to the brain including strokes and possibly epilepsy
  • Depression, malnutrition, and weight loss
  • Permanent damage to blood vessels of the heart and brain
  • Disoriented, apathy, confused exhaustion

RITALIN IS A GATE WAY DRUG
