Reindeer

Adaptations

  • Insulating hair (Has cells that keep them warm)
  • Long, powerful legs for running.
  • Shovel like hooves for digging and good footing.

How it would adapt to a desert biome

  • It would need to lose its fur.
  • It would need to be able to withstand droughts.
  • It would need to have something on their eyes to block out sand.

How it would adapt to a saltwater biome?

  • It would need to have gills to breath
  • It would need to have some type of echolocation, because eyesight is not helpful in salt water/ water due to light absorbation.
  • It would have to learn to swim well.

Would a cat survive in a taiga? No, because they arent used to cold temperatures or predators.

Gray Wolf

Kamari

Adaptations

  • Teeth and claws for hunting.
  • Its fur is used to keep out moisture.
  • Their paws help with traction in winter.

How it would it adapt to a Tundra biome?

  • They would be able to survive in a tundra biome, because of their paws and fur.
  • It would need to have a little bit thicker or insulating fur, though.

How would it adapt to a rainforest biome?

How would it adapt to a desert ecosystem?

  • It would need to be able to withstand heat.

  • It would need to withstand little water.

How would it adapt to a tundra?

  • Actually, it would be able to live in a tundra because of its thick bark and its ability to withstand the cold.

How do the biotic and abiotic features interact?

Untitled Slide

  • The biotic features rely on the water, sunlight, and oxygen.
  • The plants need the soil to grow.
  • The animals rely on the plants for oxygen.
  • Basically, the biotic features depend a whole bunch on the abiotic features.
