What are Seasons?

  • Why do we have seasons of the year?
  • Because the Earth is tilted and it rotates on its axis.
  • Earth Rotates around the sun, so at different times of the year we move closer or father away from the sun.

Spring

  • Spring time is usually sunny and warm
  • Flowers begin to bloom
  • Leaves on trees being to regrow
  • March, April, and May

Summer

  • Summer temperatures are very warm and sometimes hot.
  • It is very sunny in summer time
  • June, July, August

Fall

  • Trees lose their leaves
  • Leaves change colors from green to brown, orange, or red.
  • Towards the end of fall rees lose their leaves
  • Temperatures become cooler
  • September, October, November

Winter

  • Winter usually brings snow and ice
  • Temperatures can become very cold
  • Bears go into hibernation
  • December, January, Febuary
