• In the Middle Ages the Chinese invented gun powder.
• Marco Polo and purchased the powder and brought it back to Europe.
• Europe made cannons and adapted to the compass improve there seafaring skills

• When Europeans meet with the native and began to trade goods.
• The European had introduced new things to the native and the native did like wise.
• The natives food had really improved the European diet.

• Ships unknowingly carried the bacteria to others countries.
• Soon almost one third of Europeans populations was infected and many died.

THE AVIAN FLU THREAT

• A disease that was discovered in Vietnam that the birds carried.
• The disease had mutated and attacked humans and we had no immunity against.
• Fears the disease combining with flu virus were seen but luckily it did not happen.
