controlling your emotions
defintion of emotion:
noun
A natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.
Emotions are best met with a sense of moderation. Negative emotions tend to spiral out of control.
High emotions can cause many negative effects such as unstable personal relationships, impulsiveness, extreme mood swings, and health problems.
Chronic stress from negative attitudes, can upset the body's hormone balance and deplete the brain chemicals required for feelings of happiness.
ways to control your emotions
- Be aware
- Forgive and forget.
- See the BIGGER picture
- Write it out!
- Don't react right away
It's hard to control a problem if your not aware of it! Once your aware you can start to take back control.
When you forgive you free yourself of the emotions controlling you. Like anger, resentment, jealousy etc.
You may not understand it in the beginning, but as time goes by you'll begin to see the bigger picture.
Keep a journal and transfer your emotions. Studies show that journalism is more effective when done for 20 mins a day. Write what you feel. The important rule is there is no rules!
