• Less non-target animals, such as native birds, have died since 1080 has been introduced.
• 1080 keeps trees and plants from dying, because it kills possums who feed on these things.
• More possums, stoats, and rats are killed since 1080 has been introduced.

Black Hat

• 1080 is poisonous to humans and it takes 1/500 of an ounce to kill a 68 kg man.
• Non-target animals, such as dogs and cats, can be killed by 1080.
• When animals, such as possums and stoats have died from 1080 poisoning, their carcasses can end up poisoning cows.

Red Hat

• I think 1080 should be stopped because it can kill to many non target animals and is poisonous to all that breathe air. It is also bad for rivers and streams since it can get into the water and then non target animals could eat it.
