PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I can connect through this book to myself because, when I was younger I would place some special items in a box and bury them in our garden bed. I would do this because I would hope one day, I would retrieve them from the garden bed once I was older.
I can relate to this book through the
world because it reminds me of the
marginalised and poor community.
When Peter and the town are forced
to flee from their homes, it reminds
me of when people affected by poverty
are kicked out of the homes and have to
move cities, move in with someone else
or live on the streets.
The poorest people that are forced to live on the streets, this means they are exposed to all the harsh elements, like when all the townspeople are fleeing, it's so cold and dangerous they have to huddle together to keep warmth and survive. This is not good for any persons health, but unfortunately it still happens today in Australia and all around there world.
I can relate to this book through myself because in the story Peter has to flee from his home and he becomes an orphan. I know that I would be terrified if I was forced from my home and from my parents. I would be lonely, scared and wishing for another life. Peter is very strong for carrying on and his power lead him to a better life.
