ABOUT TRANSIENT BODIES
Transients means impermanet
Its something that doesn't last long

3.
METEORS, METEORITES, AND METEROIDS
Meteor, meteorites, and meteroids are all the same thing but in different locations
Meteoroid is when the space rock is just floating in space
Meteor is when its falling down in Earth's Atmosphere
A Meteorite is when it lands on Earth

4.
HOW DO THEY MOVE?
A piece breaks off the celestial body( Meteroid)
It floats around until it gets sucked into Earth's gravitational pull
Then when its falling down its a meteor (aka "Falling Star"
When its falling the atmosphere around is hot with white sparks.
Finally its hits Earth surface but not all of it make it all the way to the ground

5.
SURFACE AND ATMOSPHERE
The surface when its falling is steaming hot
The surface of a meteorite is smooth and is sort of warm
The inside is still frozen because all the heat is directed towards the surface
The atmosphere around a meteor is white hot sparks
The atmosphere around a meteorite is warm if it had recently landed

CATEGORIZED AND INTERESTING FACTS
This transient is usually categorized by the material its made up of(Iron)
Interesting fact: During meteor showers meteors is smaller than a grain of samd
Interesting Fact: The surface of a meteorite has holes from falling and pieces breaking off

7.
ASTEROIDS
Nickel and iron is pulled to the middle by gravity.
Lighter rocks make up the surface.
Asteroids are too small to have enough gravitational pull
for an atmosphere.

8.
HOW THEY MOVE
10,000 are in the Asteroid belt.
Some are caught in the orbit of planets.
Revolve around the Sun in an Ovular orbit.
Despite what Star Trek says, the real Asteroid
Belt can be easily maneuvered by a space ship.

ASTEROID FACTS
All known Asteroids put together are supposed to have
a smaller mass than the Moon.
Scientists believe Dinosaurs were killed by an Asteroid.
One crater is as big as a small city

WHAT IS A COMET?
A ball of ice and rock
Found in the comet belt
Has a 200 year orbit
Can only be seen as they pass through the sun

THINGS YOU DIDNT KNOW!!
A comets nucleus can be be 5 to 10 miles wide
Its tail can be over 1 million miles long
Comets are named after their discoverer
Haley's comet is the most important
Comets come from the formation of planets
