EDUCATION

  • Need a bachelor degree
  • Knowledge of the sport
  • Can get other degrees
  • Its better to start as an assistant coach
  • Most coaches did play the sport

  • The average pay is $39,960 annually
  • That goes for coaches in
  • Colleges, universitys, and professional schools
  • Local and private
  • And the pay is getting higher by the year

JOB OUTLOOK

  • Employment is growing alot
  • Its said to grow 15% from 2012 to 2022
  • Which is more than the average for a job
  • Alot of coaches are also self-employed
  • This year 11% of coaches are self-employed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Alot of traveling
  • The hours can be irregular
  • Like weekends and holidays
  • They usually work 40 hours a week
  • But that is mostly just during the season
