HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

  • The sewing machine was made by Elias Howe.
  • He had the idea from a factory that he worked in.
  • Who would have thought that his idea would change the world?

WHERE WAS IT MADE?

  • The sewing machine was made in a producing factory.
  • To be more specific a textile factory.
  • Also it was not made in America it was made in Britin.

WHY WAS THE SEWING MACHINE MADE?

  • He wanted to change the way of sewing life.
  • It improved working conditions and helped the people.
  • It was also a huge success in the life styel.

WAS THIS GREAT INVENTION USEFUL?

  • It was easier to use than a regular needle and thread.
  • But like everything else it had its moments once and a while.
  • People where happy that this invention came to them at last.

HOW DID THIS MYSTERIOUS THING WORK?

  • You put the thread through the needle and push a pedal.
  • It was hard for beginners so they had to have a lesson maybe.
  • ( fun fact ) The needles used to be made out of human bones before metal.

WHERE WOULD YOU USUALLY SEE ONE?

  • You would see them in a factory or a house.
  • They were expensive back then so few people had one.
  • They were usually see them in a rich persons house not a little house.
