Rosa Parks
Rosa is know for not giving up her seat to a white man in Montgomery, Alabama. She was arrested on December 1, 1955. Into December 1956 when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the segregation law was unconstitutional and the Montgomery buses were integrated.

Ruby bridges
Ruby Nell Bridges Hall is an African-American child to attend on all-white elementary school in the south in the south. She attended William Frantz Elementary School in Mississippi. The court-ordered first day of integrated schools in New Orleans, November 14, 1960.

Martin Luther King Jr.
On August 28, 1963 He had a speech " I have a dream". At Washington D.C. Civil Rights March. He calls for an end to racism in the United States.

Medgar Wiley Evers
In the early 1960s he tries to enroll at the university of Mississippi to end segregation there.

James Chaney
In 1963 he and two other civil right workers organized a voter rights.
