New York is located where it is today because in 1624 it was founded as a trading post by colonists of the Dutch Republic. It then was taken over by English control 20 years later. New York is in its location today because of their marvelous harbor.

  • Daily life in New York is very expensive.
  • Technology and cars are widely used every day in a New Yorker's life.
  • Many people have corporation jobs and either take a taxi, walk, or bike to work.
  • Most of the population has a job and the city is always busy. (The city that never sleeps).
  • In New York, people can be very rude and crimes are committed but that's what occurs in large cities.

New York is the headquarter city of the UN. The United Nations majors in telecommunication around the world in technologies and infrastructures. New York is a political leader by being active and a leader in United Nations.

  • New York succeeds in arts and entertainment.
  • Broadway, a leading musical production lives in New York.
  • Many entertainment movies have been produced in New York.
  • Not only entertainment occurs in New York, but also music.
  • Broadway and Radio City are the most known successes in NY.

TWO TIERED-STRUCTURE

  • New York bases its corporations in "two tieres".
  • A two tieres structure is when there are sectors in a business.
  • Jobs can range from janitor, to office employees, to managers, then possibly to CEO's.
  • This is a very organized structure because of all of the jobs it makes and its success.
  • New York relies on this structure for every day business life and is very successful because of this.
