  • Is anything blocking / supporting your learning?
  • What are your learning priorities / strengths / weaknesses?

strategies

  • Keep a learning journal
  • Use mind maps
  • Make audio notes (podcast)
  • Buddy up and learn together; test each other
  • Set SMART learning targets and monitor your progress
  • Use past papers and refer to mark schemes
  • Follow advice given by your teachers

  • Try teaching what you have learnt to a friend
  • Go back to what you think you have learnt 3 weeks later - what can you remember?
  • Make learning active - take notes (try the Cornell note taking method)
  • Create a study timetable - a realistic and doable one - and stick to it
  • Revise in 30 minute blocks - short break - recap - next block
