Owls have three dimensional vision, they can turn their neck 270 degrees, they have binaural hearing, and sharp talons that help them catch prey.

Owls have a lot of rods in their eyes, which allow them to be able to see during the night.

Owls don't have a lot of muscles in their eyes so they remain fixed in their heads, to compensate for this they can rotate their head around.

Since owl's eyes do not contain cones they cannot see in color.

Owls have facial discs that direct sound towards their ears, which are positioned at different levels on their heads allowing them to track prey easier.

As soon as the baby owls are confident enough to fly on their own , it is important for them to leave because owls are very territorial, and at that time the food source is low.

Barn owls can live up to 20 years, but they often don't because of the weather, and because of food shortages.
