Slide Notes

Entering the bright city the night before the big event the ambitious boy could hardly sleep, but he knew that getting some sleep was imperative to his success at the big event. His alarm rang at 6am, awaking him from his short slumber. He rolled out of bed and looked into the mirror still half asleep. He had 2 choices: Go back to sleep and miss this great opportunity or get ready and get focused. He chose the latter. Upon arriving at the location where the big event would take place, he stood in awe, gawking at the venue, with his mouth ajar. It was Penn State University's Beaver Stadium, with a capacity of about 107,000 people. Moving past the gate there was a huge crowd of ambitious athletes like the boy, who came for the same reason as the boy, to grab hold of this great opportunity. There were so many faces that to the boy could not even make out the decisive features of any of his counterparts. The boy made an estimated that there were about 500 athletes. After signing up and paying the boy joined his counterparts in a never ending line. At the end of the line coaches were taking athletes height and weight and giving them a jersey and t-shirt. While waiting in the line the boy examines his competition and visualized what he would do to impress the coaches. By the time he finished doing that it was his turn; he weighed in at 185lbs and 6"0 exactly.
