WHAT IS LIGHT

• electromagnetic radiation within a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum
• the word light is usually referred what is called visible light that is seen by humans and is responsible for the sense of sight

THE DUAL NATURE OF LIGHT

• there are multiple theories on what the dual nature of light is.
• Max Planck and Albert Einstein both thought that light was a little stream of particles
• Thomas Young performed an experiment showing light is a wave
• but scientists today think that light is both a wave and particles.

RELATIONSHIPS

• the relationships among visible light, radiowaves, microwaves, and x-rays are that they're all on the electromagnetic spectrum

FREQUENCY OF LIGHT
