Cindy Sherman
She was born in 1954. Her hometown is Glen Ridge, New Jersey. She creates characters by using wigs, makeup, and an outfit.She wants people to see how women are treated by society.

She is famous for her Untitled Film Stills. They tend to show eating disorders, insanity, or death. Fun Fact: Madonna sponsored Cindy at the Museum of Modern Art in 1997.

Artist Statement:
I like doing the controversial topics. The ideas for them come easier to me and I actually like when people show 2 sides to everything.
This was my favorite thing I made this year. It was made of 5/2 with oil pastels. It is a koala.
Artistic Growth Reflection:
Outside of art I am creative in baton. I am working on improving my painting. My favorite project was the clay masks because we don't get to work with clay that often. My least favorite project was the still lives because I didn't like drawing objects that were just random. My art has improved tremendously in shading. Last year I didn't even know how to shade.
