  • A synthetic drug with more rapid and lasting effects than amphetamine.
  • Used illegally as a stimulant and legally as a prescription drug to treat narcolepsy.

  • It is a synthetic stimulant.
  • It is a chalk or powder like substance.

  • Meth
  • Crystal
  • Chalk

SHORT-TERM EFFECTS

  • Constricted blood vessels
  • Dialated pupils
  • Body temperature increase

  • Kidney and lung damage.
  • Destruction of tissues in nose, if sniffed.
  • Respiratory failure, if smoked.

HOW IS IT USED?

  • By doctor's prescription, if you have a medical concern.
  • Treats attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  • Helps with weight loss.
