  • Set of practices to establish connection between present- day Japan,
  • And it's ancient past.
  • They believe that the Kami is not only in spiritual existence but also natural

  • Followers are supposed to live in harmony and peaceful,
  • coexistence with both nature and other human beings.

BUDDHISM

  • Founder:Siddartha Guatama
  • Believe they need to live a moral and healthy life,
  • Dedicated to their teacher.
  • Believe that they need to follow the 5 Precepts to sustain life with Buddha.
  • Believe everything that happens, good or bad, is because of karma.

TAOISM

  • Founder:Lao- Tzu
  • Associated with Tao Te Ching(philosophical text written by Lao-Tzu)
  • Believe that fasting/ starving themselves and,
  • and regulating their breathing habits can effect their chances at eternal life.
  • Believe that death has no real significance because of belief of reincarnation

CONFUCIANISM

  • Founder: Confucius
  • Main focus of Confucianism is to live a harmonious
  • life and adapt socially.
  • The 5 core virtues are a key part in Confucianism beliefs.
  • Confucius also teaches that relationships and family are a key part in it.
