PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WILL I BREAK SOMEONES RIBS

  • You might but don't worry about it.
  • Remember your main priority is to keep blood circulating
  • Also a damaged rib will mend

BREATHING

  • Check breathing by titling head backwards and looking/feeling for breaths
  • When a person is unconscious their muscles relax and their tongue can block their airway
  • Tilting the head back opens the airway by tilting the younger forward

CHEST COMPRESSIONS

  • Chest compressions are when you place your hands in the center of the
  • Chest and repeatedly press downwards at a rapid rate to help pump the
  • Blood around the body
  • You should keep doing chest compressions until help arrives
  • If there is someone there you should change over in a minimum of every two minutes

STROKE VICTIMS

  • Stroke victims have symptoms that include
  • Dribbling
  • Nubness
  • Blurred vision
  • A sudden sever headache

STROKE VICTIMS

  • Difficulty maintaining balance
  • Dizziness or feeling lightheaded
  • Difficulty of expressing themselves or understanding other people

TALKING TO PEOPLE

  • Talk to the person and reassure them
  • Even though they may not respond they are able to hear you
