The Lincoln Memorial took nearly 3 years. They started building it at 1914 and was nearing finished by 1917.
The Lincoln Memorial is located in Washington D.C.

Three years after Lincoln's assassination, people were demanding for a national memorial in honor of his death. In 1867, Congress passed the first of many bills stating that they would build a monument for the sixteenth president. An American sculptor, Clark Mills, was chosen to design the monument.
