• School should be anchored to rock below the soil
• Have the building on top of shock absorbing rubber pads or springs
• Use reinforced beams in your building
• Use flexible materials in your building

....AND THE INTERIOR

• Secure cabinets to the wall
• Use secure desks
• Secure painting and pictures to wall
• Cover windows with curtains

YOU FEEL RUMBLES? HERES WHAT YOU DO!

• "Drop, cover, and hold on"
• Drop down onto your hands and knees(before the earthquake does it for ya!)
• Cover your head and neck and get under a table or desk
• Hold on until the shaking stops
• DO NOT go outside or run around. DO NOT stand in a doorway
