BASEL CELL CARCINOMA

  • slow-growing form of skin cancer.
  • falls into two major groups: Nonmelanoma and melanoma.
  • Basal cell carcinoma is a type of nonmelanoma skin cancer.

BASEL CELL CARCINOMA

  • thought to be caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight.
  • if a basal cell cancer is left untreated, it can grow into nearby areas.
  • and invade the bone or other tissues beneath the skin

SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

  • uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells arising in the squamous cells
  • look like scaly red patches, open sores, elevated growths with a central depression, or warts
  • They may bleed
  • mainly caused by cumulative UV exposure over the course of a lifetime

SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

  • may grow slowly. It may spread to other parts of the body, including internal organs.

MALIGNANT MELANOMA

  • Melanoma is a very the most dangerous type of skin cancer.
  • It is the leading cause of death from skin disease.
  • caused by changes in skin cells called melanocytes

  • A- asymmetry or size
  • B- border irregularities
  • Like a heart shaped

  • C- color of the border from the inside out
  • D- diameter
  • If it is bigger than 1/4 go get it checked
