What is Satire?

It is a technique used by writers to expose and criticize foolishness and corruption by using humor, irony, exaggeration or ridicule.

Satire:
Writers use satire to expose the corruption of society, but in which they do not intend to harm or make fun of others.

Their overall purpose to include different types of satire is to open up society's eyes and show the prevailing corruption/conditions in society.
