  • Diwali means festival of light. The fesival
  • Is celebrated to mark the triumph of good over evil
  • And it marks the beggining of the new year. The
  • Festival was celebrated this year (2014) on Thursday,
  • October 3rd for 5 days like every year.

  • Diwali dates back to ancient times in India.
  • The festival represents the parts of the sun,
  • the cosmic giver of light.Diwali is one of the happiest
  • holidays in India. People also give and recieve gifts
  • on Diwali. Diwali is a wonderful holiday known around the world.

VAISAKHI PARAGRAPH 1

  • Vaisakhi is celebrated by the seeks and marks the
  • beginning of new life. The seeks go to services and their
  • holy book is read throughout the sermon. It is common for
  • the people to leave money and to pray. Afterwards they
  • receive food. Parades are also a tradition in the celebration

VAISAKHI PARAGRAPH 2

  • Vaisakhi is celebrated across the northern Indian subcontinent.
  • Celebration day is also observed as the thanksgiving day by the farmers
  • whereby the farmers pay their tribute, thanking God for the abundant
  • harvest and also praying for the future prosperity.
  • Viasakhi is an important and loved celebration around India.
