CAPITALIZATION RULES

RULE 1

• Capitalize the first word in the sentence
• Ex: The boy said hi

RULE 2

• Capitalize proper nouns like names
• Ex: They went to the fair with Jane

RULE 3

• Capitalize titles like when it's preceding a name, when used in a direct
• Address, and major words in titles of books, articles, and songs
• Ex: the book "The Outsiders" is very detailed

RULE 4

• Capitalize the days of the week
• Ex: We're going to hang out on Saturday

RULE 5

• Capitalize countries, nationalities, and specific languages
• Ex: America was at war with the British during the American Revolution
