PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The Fan rules

Supporting Your Team Responsibly in Public by Mike Carrozzo

The Fan rules are developed to help the average sports fan:

Dress Accordingly and Act Appropriately

1. Dress Accordingly

Yep, it's that important …

Leave Your Name oFF

You don't play for the team

Update Your Jersey*

Your player got traded, loosen the purse strings (*retired players exempt)

KNOW THE Venue

It's never alright to wear a hockey jersey to a baseball game

ALWAYS curve YOUR CAP

You are not 12 years old … or my grandfather

2. Act appropriately

You are not only embarrassing yourself, but the entire fan base …

stop the wave

You look stupid … and are only encouraging others

keep home run balls (or give to child)

Throwing them back makes you look like this

Leave your Glove at Home

You pansy …

always stay until the end of the game

Yes, even if it's soccer

stop making signs

Because this happens ...

Drop the word 'we'

Again, you don't play for the team … thank goodness

stay out of autograph lines

It's creepy

root responsibly
