  • The NRA was established in June 1933.

PURPOSE ( ANGELA DAVIS)

  • Congress established the National Recovery Administration to help the industry and the labor force.
  • The job of the NRA is to set prices, record production levels, set minimum wages, and set maximum hours within each industry.

WHO IT AFFECTS/ BENEFITS ( ANGELA DAVIS)

  • The Nra affected/Benefited the working class of America.

SUCCESSFUL OR UNSUCCESSFUL (ANGELA DAVIS)

  • Some successful accomplishments of the NRA were abolishing child labor and establishing minimum wages and maximum hours.
  • Some unsuccessful accomplishments were making the minimum wages too low and not including large occupational groups, such as farm workers in their laws.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TODAY (ANGELA DAVIS)

  • The NRA ended when it was shut down by the Supreme Court in 1935 because the business community was irritated with the red tape involved.
