Space Missions
Since the beginning of time, water has been drying. Since that day till now, the water
level has decreased. Each year it will decrease little by little, and eventually, all water on earth will be gone, or disappear. This is a terrible thing because our bodies, and other organism bodies, need water to survive. Even plants need water to live. Imagine a world without water and figure out the days you can go without drinking water before dieing. Plants die easily without water. If there was not any plants then the worlds oxygen would gradually be used up. The conclusion is self explanatory. No oxygen means there will be a slight choking moment at the end of your life.
As you all may know, pollution is everywhere in the world. It is in water, the air,
etcetera. It will get worse as time goes on. There are days when the air is moderate, good, bad for some people, and very bad. There are basic explanations for that in which are also self explanatory and obvious. As pollution worsens, the air will become toxic. Basically we will be living in a bubble of poison that kills us each day. Our current living land space will be uninhabitable. Organisms will be forced to move to higher ground away from the toxic fumes. Mutations can possibly occur and humans will no longer be the same. The solution, move to a new planet even though the same thing might happen there.
The death of the sun is not so far away. It is bound to happen at some point. When it
does, it will turn into a white dwarf. Of course, life on Earth depends on the sun for food, plants, and other things. As the sun dies off, its rays will be weakened and will barely make it through the atmosphere. Eventually, we will need artificial light to support life on Earth. That is not going to last very long. As the white dwarf forms, the rest of the solar system will start to freeze. The final stage is a super nova. A massive explosion that will obliterate itself and its solar system. Before this can happen, we need an escape plan. This is one of many reasons why the government needs to fund space missions so we can prepare for what is ahead like the incident I described. Yes it seems so far away from this time, but that is not stopping it from coming.
The advancement of space travel will be the beginning of the advancement of
technology. Take the space race in the 1960’s for example, we went to the moon, and now we have these chromebooks. These computers are actually stronger than what powered the spaceship that went to the moon. That is a powerful advancement. If we can evolve space travel technology, who knows what the future of technology will hold. Of course, like most technology, something that will make humans lazier will be created, but along the line, something that is useful will arrive, something that will change the human race in many different ways. From the way we cook, to where we travel and how fast we get there. This can give us the hands on experience and knowledge to create new things. There will be infinite possibilities when the secrets of space travel in unlocked. People could be asking, “Hey, where do you live.”. And the response could be, “Oh on the planet over there.”
The discovery of new life is possible. Humans have been trying to communicate with
extraterrestrials for a long time. I am not saying that we have not because there has been many sightings and claims on communicating with aliens and it is possible that we have worked with them in the distant past. Raise your hand if you would be freaked out by seeing an alien. Raise your hand if you would be calm and take advantage of the situation. I would take advantage of the situation. Of course I would need to be sure if I am in any real danger because who knows if extraterrestrials are friendly, demonic, or somewhere in between. By taking advantage of the situation, we can learn new things that you might have never thought was possible. If we ever have the chance to live with them, then humans can evolve with massive benefits to the body and several other things. The evolution of the humans would be amazing. Not just in intelligence, but the physical appearance as well. The answers to space travel is right in our grasp. There is so much to explore and so much knowledge to engulf. This can all be possible if the government would fund space missions.
The counterclaim can be easily summarized because the only arguments I have seen
through the articles I have read is all of this will cost an excessive amount of money and lives will be lost in the process of testing the new spaceships. It costs over one billion dollars to make and man a space ship. It is not a one hundred percent guarantee that it will be safe because there is a possibility that there will be defects somewhere along the line. The bodies of the astronauts will be unreachable resulting in a funeral with an empty coffin. Money is a big issue in this topic. Too much of it will be spent on failed attempts and abandoned missions.
In conclusion, I would rather move to a new solar system than be killed by one. It does
not even have to be of this galaxy. Raise your hand if you would want to be killed by this solar system. Raise your hand if you would rather move to a new solar system. Of course, space travel will need to evolve in order to move to the next solar system. Eventually, it probably will. Until then, conserve water, try not to pollute the world so much, and plant as many plants in your backyard as you can to increase your oxygen level.
