Things to think about...

  • Who drives the goal-setting?
  • What is the goal based on?
  • How will the goal tie to instruction?

Step Two: Analyze the Student Work

Things to think about...

  • Does the work make the student learning visible?
  • Or, is it just a 'test'?
  • What are the trends you are seeing?
  • What about our less typical learners?

Step Three: Plan How to Co-Teach the Lesson

Things to think about...

  • What will the teacher do?
  • What will the coach do?
  • It's about shared ownership.

When co-teaching, we can...

  • Teach in tandem
  • Confer with students
  • Collect student evidence
  • The key is we are working in partnership

Step Four: Use Student Evidence to Plan the Next Lesson

Things to think about

  • Our goal is to see student growth over time
  • So we have to be in the classroom on a regular basis
  • We work to add value to the teaching and learning
