Location and Population
At one point, the Powhatans ruled much of Virginia, so, consequently, the British destroyed them for the land of Virginia.
While the original Powhatan population was 14,000, the Powhatans are nonexistant.

Religion
The Powhatans had two major gods; they were Ahone and Okeus
Okeus was god of death and destruction, whereas Ahone was god of life.
Okeys required sacrifices, though Ahone didn't require that.
While the Powhatans had more gods, Ahone and Okeus were the main ones.

Powhatans ate deer, fish, and small game gathered by the men while the women gardened vegetables.

Stories
Pocahontas was a famous Powhatan, although the story told by Captain John Smith was probably just that, a story.
Another famous story was "How the Indians Got So Many Tribes", even though it isn't true.
