Try to avoid run on sentences
I went to the park and I saw a bird that was up in the tree and it was blue.

If you are using words such as do not or you are you can abbreviate them by adding an ' and cutting out a letter
Please don't eat that.
You're a nice person.

Use punctuation marks at the end of a sentence and when necessary.

  • Put a period at the end of a statement or command.
  • The water is blue.
  • Go clean your room.
  • Put a question mark at the end of a question
  • Where are my shoes?
  • Put an exclamation point at the end of a exclamatory sentence
  • What are you doing!!!!!!!

Use commas when needed.
My dinner wasn't good, but I ate it anyway.
