WHAT IS SCREEN PRINTING?
Screen printing is a method of printing in which ink is pushed through a mesh screen onto a wide range of materials and surfaces.
WHAT DOES A SCREEN PRINTER DO?
A screen printer creates a product by printing images onto clothing, paper, or other materials which are sold, worn, or displayed.

HOW TO LEARN SCREEN PRINTING
Many screen printers are self-taught. There books and manuals dedicated to screen printing and many schools offer courses that include hands on training.

TIM DOYLE
Tim Doyle is an artist/illustrator who uses a variety of methods in his work, including screen printing. He started off publishing a zine called Amazing Adult Fantasy and went on to various gigs, including running a small chain of comic book stores and being the art director for MONDO.
In 2009, he launched his own company and printing studio, Nakatomi Print Labs, with partner, Clark Wilson. He continues to produce art for many companies, other artists, and has had several sold out shows. One of his most famous series, Unreal Estate, is among my favorite.

WHAT DO SCREEN PRINTERS GET PAID?
"The average annual salary of a screen printer will vary, depending on his specialty and talent, as well as the demand for his services. The Bureau of Labor Statistics does not have any salary information specifically pertaining to screen printers, but it does have information about related professions.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, however, printing press operators made an average salary of $35,370 in 2010. Graphic designers, on the other hand, made an average salary of $48,140 in that same year."
