Learning Outcomes

The AAC&U Minnesota and GLCA VALUE Projects must score with six rubrics in three years

Taskstream has already built out infrastructure for five outcomes.

Determining Outcomes for Years Two and Three

To increase sustainability, one possibility for the second demonstration year is for MN and GLCA campuses to repeat their learning outcomes from the first pilot year

Determining year three outcomes now gives Taskstream time to build the final outcome and gives campuses time to plan, recruit faulty, and identify artifacts to collect

For the third year, one possibility is to leverage work done across all the VALUE Projects

If Minnesota and GLCA campuses agree on outcomes across their two projects, the resulting data will be more statistically significant

Proposal

For the fourth outcome, MN and GLCA could swap their third outcomes

Quantitative Literacy could be GLCA's fourth outcome

Intercultural Knowledge and Competence could be Minnesota's fourth outcome

The MSC VALUE Project has added Civic Engagement as an additional learning outcome during the second demonstration year

Minnesota and GLCA campuses could agree on Civic Engagement as their fifth outcome

To leverage work across the two projects, MN and GLCA campuses would agree to use a common sixth outcome

AAC&U needs to poll Minnesota and GLCA campuses on their preferences for the sixth outcome
