WHY DO PEOPLE NEED A GOVERNMENT?

PEOPLE NEED A GOVERNMENT BECAUSE:

• It maintains public order
• It provides public services
• It enforces the protection of natural rights

MY NEW GOVERNMENT

• It will need to protect the equal rights of everybody in society
• Defend the people from zombies and other survivors
• Maintain order within society

The people will not be allowed to vote for officials because it will create division in our society. The 5 eldest people from the village will be appointed leaders because they are most likely the wisest of the group and will probably remember the most of the old government before the zombie apocalypse started. So they will run the government until they set a foundation for a new, more efficient government in the future.

The 5 leaders will get together and create the new laws for our society.
If somebody breaks a law, and there is a total consensus by the leaders that the defendant is guilty then they are automatically punished by death.

The 5 leaders will write a constitution together that will define the rights of the people and outline the punishments of breaking the law. By chance the 5 leaders later on down the road decide that the constitution is defective, then they will need a 3/5 vote to amend the constitution.
