THE RULES

  • Frequency adverbs come AFTER the verb be.
  • Freq. Adv. come BEFORE other verbs.
  • Most. Freq. Adv. come AFTER not.
  • EXCEPTION!!! : use SOMETIMES before NOT.

PROBLEMS IN THE RELATIONSHIP

  • Where would you put the freq. Adv.?
  • Example 1: we spend time together.
  • 1: We HARDLY EVER spend time together.
