TOM SCHWEICH

• In 2010 he won the race for Missouri auditor ,defeating democrat Susan Montee
• He was born February 10, 1960 in Missouri.
• He graduated from Clayton High school in St. Louis.
• He graduated with a bachelor's in history from Yale in 1982.
• Three years later he graduated from Harvard with a law degree.

TOM SCHWEICH

• He served as coordinator for counter narcotics and justice reform in Afghanistan
• He is a fifth generation Missourian.
• In 2008 e began teaching as a visiting professor of law
• Also became an ambassador in residence at Washington university.
• Schweich and his family currently live in St. Louis.

STATE AUDITOR

• establish appropriate systems of accounting for public officials of the state.
• post-audit the accounts of all state agencies and audit the treasury.
• This is important because it limits budgets of other agencies and officials

BUDGETING

• I think the budgeting tom does is reasonable.
• I feel like some of his increases in percentages is high
• On April 25, 2012, the Senate passed a $24 billion budget that didn't cut services
• and gave state employees earning up to $45,000 annually a raise
• Missouri officials in December 2011 predicted a 3.9 increase in state revenue.
