IS SOLAR ENERGY RENEWABLE RESOURCE

Yes solar energy is renewable because it will never stop working or reproducing and the sun will always be shining. Solar energy is a free source because you don't have to pay the sun to get energy from it . Solar power is captured when energy from the sun is converted into electricity or used to heat air , water and for cooling.

ADVANTAGES

• It is a free source of energy
• Needs only a little fixing to keep it running
• Solar cells make absolutely no noise only a little beep during the process of fixing it
• Solar power technology is improving over the years
• More people are using solar energy
• Over one million of people in Australia are using solar energy to power there house

DISADVANTAGES

• Solar panels cost a lot and not everyone can buy it
• It does not work during a storm,cloudy day and night

FACTS

• Solar energy is obtained by the sun
• Solar cells are also called photovoltaic cells
• The largest solar plant in the world is found in the Mojave Desert,USA
• Solar cells can be used for potable devices such as calculators
• Solar energy can also remove salt from sea water
