R/side of the brain interprets information from the R/side of B/eyes and vice versa

Axon growth
Axons of neurones from the retina grow to the hypothalamus where they form synapses with neurones in the thalamus in a very ordered arrangement. Axons from there thalamus neurones grow towards the visual cortex in the occipital lobe.
