Communication
Communication is so advanced that people can get news in a blink of an eye, people can read info about other countries, become aware of incidents and respond to natural disasters. In the past people could get news within days and couldn't respond for weeks.

Travel has made people more known to each other and more knowledgeable about many countries and their ways of life. In the past it seemed nearly impossible to do these things.

Pop culture
Globalization has such a impact that the fault use of other countries have traveled in a wide-spread for example French music in America and African music in Spain.
