Gas is a type of matters that if put In a container It would take up all the space. The difference of gas from liquids and solids is it's molecules spread far apart.

LIQUID

Liquid is anything that flows such as water. Liquid takes the shape of whatever it is put in because it's molecules are close but far apart enough that they can move around.

SOLID

A solid remains it own shape unless it is crushed or something happens to it. The reason solids are like this is because their molecules are so tightly packed in place.
