STRUCTURE

• Shaped in a sphere
• Surrounded by a cell membrane
• Each lysosomes has its own proteins

FUNCTION

• Recycle unneeded or wanted foreign objects from the cell
• Goes works even when the cell has no food/ energy
• Digests nutrients when told/ on command

OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF

• First found in 1955 Christian de Duveu
• Live in Eukaryotes, plant, and animal cells
