WHAT DO THEY DO?

• Research how nervous system behaves
• Study function/development of nervous system
• Can specialize in one part of nervous system such as neurotransmitters or behavior such as psychiatric disorders

REQUIREMENTS

• Must compleat PhD/MD program
• Also must pass the United States Medical Licensing Exam

PEOPLE IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

HOW IS THE SCHEDULE?

• A typical day starts around seven
• Can get off any time but most will leave around six

Being a neuroscientist
and/or doing all it takes to become on can be stressful, but in the end it'll all be worth it.
