Where It Came From
- The Greeks got it from the Phoenicians. They altered the letters to use as the Greek alphabet.
- It is written from right to left, and each line is in the opposite direction as before

The alphabet is important because once the Greeks learned and had an alphabet they took up writing. Since they could right before most, it made them pioneers of different types of literature.
