ROMAN EMPIRE AFTER CAESAR

• Augusts Caesar took control:
• Of the military- gave veterans better in land
• Provinces- supervised
• Loyalty of rome- he granted citizenship to more people

FALL OF ROME

• The empire was too large to govern effectively.
• Civil wars broke out between different political groups.
• The increased use of slaves put many Romans out of work
• Prices increased, trade decreased.
