PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WHAT IS BIOMECHANICS ?

BY TANEISHA MURPHY

Biomechanics in sports, can be stated as the muscular, joint and skeletal actions of the body during the execution of a given task, skill and/or technique. Proper understanding of biomechanics relating to sports skill has the greatest implications on: sport's performance, rehabilitation and injury prevention, along with sport mastery.

SMART GOALS

SMART GOALS

  • S-specific
  • M-measurable
  • A-attainable
  • R-relevant
  • T-time

ISACC NEWTONS 3 LAWS OF MOTION

1. Newton's First Law of Motion is referred to as the Law of Inertia. It states that an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.

2.The Second Law of Motion is the definition of Force : Force=mass x acceleration.

3.The Third Law of Motion is the Law of Reciprocity. It states that forces come in equal and opposite pairs. "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction"

HOW I USED SMART GOAL SETTING

I used specific goal setting that I knew was measurable such as 3m to 4m this amount was attainable for me through training and practice, this goal was relevant for me not going straight out of my realistic thoughts on how far I can jump and I've kept a record of my pre and post test jumps
