I is for Incredible
What Ponyboy,Johnny,and Dally did was incredible. Ponyboy and Johnny saved kids from and burning church while Dally saved Johnny from dying in the fire.

J IS for Johnny
Johnny is one of the characters that is changing in the book. Before Johnny was shy and sensitive, and now after the fire he has become less afraid and braver towards fearful situations.
K is for Kindness
Cherry is being kind to the Greasers. She is helping them by spying on the Socs and giving the greasers information.
L is for Love
After the fire Darry comes to see Ponyboy at the hospital. Ponyboy finally realizes that Darry actually cares and loves him.

M is for Mom
Johnny's Mom doesn't care about him and treats him very badly. Also Ponyboy's Mom died in a car crash.
N is for Nauseous
Once Ponyboy got home from the hospital he started to feel nauseous with a headache. Darry told him to take it easy but Ponyboy has other plans like going to the rumble later at night.

O is for Obligation
Dally and Johnny can't make it to the rumble. Although Darry doesn't want Ponyboy going, Ponyboy feels obligated to go and fight at the rumble and represent Greasers.
P is for Pacifist
Before Johnny was a pacifist and very frightened towards violence because he got beat up by the Socs. Now he has changed and is brave and less afraid of things.
Q is for Quantity
During fights in the story each side always wants more quality or a bigger number of people. More times than not the Socs have the bigger number but that doesn't stop the Greasers because they are great fighters.
