Rosa Parks was a big factor in the civil rights movement. On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks stayed in her seat in the front of the bus for whites only to show that anyone can sit wherever they want.
John F Kennedy was the 35th president and he stood on the side of MLK during a civil rights meeting, on June 11, 1963 in Washington D.C. JFK stated in a speech that he wanted all people to fully end descrimination against African-Americans.

Ruby Nell Bridges on November 14, 1960 was the first African American to go to an all white school. Although she didn't know what was going on she made a big difference in why schools shouldn't be segregated because African Americans can have the same intelligence level as whites.
