Desert Biome

  • receives less than 25 centimeters of rain a year.
  • these are some animals that live in the desert biome, gila monster,fennec fox,dingo,desert bighorn,scorpion,collared lizard, and the marsupial mole.
  • many other desert animals are most active at night when the temperatures are cooller.

Rain Forest Biome

  • there are 2 types of rain forests, tropical and temperate
  • these are the animals that live in a rain forest,Alaligators, anacondas, ants, bats, assassin bug, binturong, quite a variety of birds, bonobo, caimans, capybaras, cassowaries, caterpillars, chimpanzees, chlamydosaurus, crocodiles, cuckoos, and dragon flies

Grassland Biome

  • recieves 25-75 centimeters of rain each year
  • these are some animals that live in the grasslands biome,Hawk,Aardvarks, Cheetahs, Wolves,Deer, Antelope,African Elephants, Zebras,Lions,Giraffes,Horses, Monarch Butterflies, Grasshoppers,Snakes,Mice, Buffalo,Coyotes,Bobcats, Rhinoceros,Leopard,Tigers, Rabbits,Hares,Gophers, Prairie dogs,Hyenas,Impalas, Gazelles,Badgers,Foxes, Jaguars, and Llamas.

Deciduous Forest Biome

  • most trees have leaves that change color and drop each.

Boreal Forest Biome

  • most of the trees in the boreal forest are coniferous trees.
  • trees in the boreal forest are well adapted to the cold climate.
  • many of the animals in the boreal forest eat the seeds produced by the coniferous trees.

Tundra Biome

  • the tundra is an extremely cold and dry biome.
  • most of the soil in the tundra is frozen all year, this frozen soil is called "permafrost."
  • plants of the tundra include mosses, grasses, shrubs, and dwarf forms of a few trees, such as willows.
  • mammals of the tundra include caribou, musk oxen, foxes, wolves, and arctic hares.
