Reflection
The poem "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll is about a young man who is seeking a terrible monster, the Jabberwock. While walking through the woods, the young man finds himself face-to-face with frightening creature. The young man uses his sword to behead the Jabberwock then returns triumphantly home. The mood of this poem is both sinister and celebratory. The poem contains several examples of onomatopoeia, such as "snicker-snack," and "burbled."
